You don’t feel 100% confident managing your child’s emotions and behaviors.Â
You’re afraid that your child will only get worse with his/her aggression and
other challenging behaviors.

HI! I’M HA
A behavioral analyst for kids with autism, ADHD,
and severe behaviors
I know that you’re looking for more than someone who will help you implement ABA strategies. You’re looking for someone who can guide you through the most challenging parts of managing your child’s behaviors.
Through my 1:1 coaching, I’m here to support you. I will provide the necessary training and guidance to empower you as your child’s primary advocate and therapist.
I’ve helped parents go from lost and overwhelmed to educated and excited-
“Working with Ha has been life changing! The process has been very
rewarding as well as educational. When we first found out about our
daughter's diagnosis, we felt lost and overwhelmed. It was hard to find
someone who could really help us understand what resources were available
and what’s needed for our daughter’s success. Ha’s expertise and experience
has made our daily life better and our daughter is thriving and learning
everyday. Her logical approach and understanding of the spectrum has
helped us understand how to redirect different behaviors with our daughter.
Her insight to the spectrum has created a very powerful and effective way to
interact with our daughter and we couldn’t be any happier or thankful for Ha.”

Here’s how it works–
Our 3-step process to getting you a personalized plan
Introductory Call
The first step involves a 20-minute introductory call, which can be done conveniently through video or phone calls. During this session, we'll have the opportunity to get to know each other better. You can share valuable information about your child's needs, strengths, and challenges while discussing your expectations. This is also your chance
to ask questions about my ABA services and how I can assist you and your child.

In-person/virtual assessment-
Depending on where you are, we can conduct an in-person assessment. I will drive to your desired location (whether it be your home or your child’s school). This allows me
to observe your child and thoroughly assess their current needs.Â
If an in-person assessment is not feasible, don’t worry! We will proceed with a virtual assessment. Through a video call– I can effectively observe your child, engage with
them, and gather the necessary information to develop a comprehensive
understanding of their needs.

Assesment & treatment plan
Once the assessment is complete, I will analyze the data and formulate a tailored treatment plan. This plan will be based on your child's unique needs, targeting specific areas of development and addressing any challenging behaviors. We will schedule a follow-up session to review the assessment results together, discuss the proposed treatment plan, and address any concerns or questions you may have.

Here’s what we’ll cover in our 1:1
coaching sessions
Each session is 1.5 hours, so please plan accordingly.
Session 1: Understanding Your Treatment Plan
We will break down the treatment plan into simple, actionable steps. I will explain the identified behaviors, their triggers, and the strategies outlined in the plan. We will discuss your role as a parent and set clear expectations.
Activities:
- Q&A to address any concerns or confusion about the plan.
- Create a prioritized “starting steps” list tailored to your family’s needs.
Session 2: The Science of Behavior Made Simple
After session 2, you’ll be able to understand the basics of behavior science with the ABCs of behavior (Antecedent, Behavior, Consequence). I will also introduce the four functions of behavior (attention, escape, sensory, tangible) and connect the functions to your child’s specific behaviors.
Activities:
- Role-play identifying the ABCs in common scenarios.
- Provide a simple tracking sheet for parents to record behaviors.
Session 3: Reinforcement Systems & Encouraging Good Behaviors
You will learn how to use positive reinforcement effectively as I explain what it is and why it works. We will identify motivating rewards tailored to your child and discuss how to deliver the reinforcements consistently and immediately. Lastly, we will come up with a reinforcement schedule.
Activities:
- Practice creating a reward system or token board.
- Role-play reinforcing desired behaviors.
Session 4: Managing Challenging Behaviors
We will teach you strategies to handle tantrums, aggression, or other challenging behaviors through proactive and preventative measures (visual schedules, clear instructions, etc.) We will also teach you reactive strategies for responding to behaviors without escalating them.
Activities:
- Practice de-escalation techniques through role-play.
- Customize a “calm-down plan” for the child.
Session 5: Teaching New Skills
In this session, we will help you replace challenging behaviors with appropriate behaviors and learn to view behaviors as a skill deficit!
3 focuses in session 5:
- Discuss skill-building as a replacement for negative behaviors.
- Teach task analysis (breaking skills into smaller steps).
- Introduce strategies like prompting, modeling, and shaping.
Activities:
- Identify a skill to teach (e.g., asking for help, waiting, or self-regulation).
- Create a step-by-step teaching plan with the parent.
Session 6: Self-Regulation & Coping Skills
This is an essential session and is often overlooked. We will teach you how to model self-regulation and coping skills, calming techniques, how to reinforce emotional regulation, and how to use role-playing to problem-solve.
Activities:
- Create a visual calm-down chart or tool kit with the parent.
- Practice role-playing emotional regulation scenarios.
Session 7: Fine-Tuning the Plan
Our goal for session 7 is to evaluate/ celebrate your child’s progress, identify any roadblocks or strategies that aren’t working, and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
Activities:
- Review behavior data collected by the parent.
- Brainstorm and implement adjustments to improve outcomes.
Session 8: Long-Term Success and Next Steps
Our last session together will prepare you to maintain progress and address future challenges independently. My goal is for you to continue to use the tools you’ve learned to help maintain positive behavior and de-escalate challenging behaviors as they arise.
Activities:
- Create a “maintenance plan” with specific strategies and resources.
- Role-play potential future scenarios and how to handle them.

I’ve helped parents just like you–
“The owner of Skill Shape ABA is amazing. I have had the pleasure of working
with clients under her leadership as I was the RBT and she was the BCBA. Her
leadership and guidance has really helped shape me into the RBT I am today
even without her as my supervisor anymore, I will always remember what she
taught me and use her approaches and techniques with future clients.”
Frequently asked questions
How do I know that your method (ABA) will work for my child?
Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA, is a science-based approach that’s been thoroughly researched and shown to help children with a wide range of needs, including those on the autism spectrum.Â
What makes ABA particularly effective is that it’s “highly individualized”, not a one-size-fits-all method. ABA involves assessing each child’s unique behaviors and identifying specific goals for your child, all designed and composed in a personalized plan tailored to help them reach those goals in ways that is socially significant.
In my experience, I’ve seen tremendous progress when we consistently apply these techniques. While every child is unique and responds differently, the ABA approach is flexible and allows us to adapt as we learn what works best for your child.
Ultimately, we’ll work closely together, track your child’s progress, and make adjustments as needed to ensure that the methods are as effective as possible. ABA is a collaborative process, and my goal is to empower you with strategies that feel right for your family and create positive change
How much time do I need to commit to the process?
The time commitment can vary depending on your goals and your child’s specific needs, but typically, we’re looking at an hour a week. I encourage you to dedicate as much time as possible to apply the strategies we discuss during your daily routines with your child.Â
Consistency is key with ABA, so I’ll guide you in incorporating these strategies into your everyday life. For example, you might spend a few minutes each day reinforcing new skills or managing behaviors, but you won’t need to set aside large blocks of time. My goal is to make it as seamless as possible, so it fits naturally into your family’s routine.
Overall, I’d recommend planning on at least a few hours each week to practice and reinforce what we’re working on. And remember, I’ll be here to support you along the way, so we’ll adjust as needed to make the process work for you and your family
What if I have questions throughout the day? Will I be able to reach you?
Questions can come up outside of our scheduled sessions, especially as you’re working to apply new strategies in real-life situations. I want to make sure you feel fully supported, so I offer communication options for in-between session support.
Typically, you can reach me via email or text with questions throughout the day. I’ll do my best to respond promptly, usually within 24 hours, so you don’t feel like you’re waiting too long for answers. For more immediate concerns, we can discuss the possibility of a brief phone check-in or schedule an extra session if needed.Â
My ultimate goal is to empower you and help you feel confident and supported as you go, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need clarification or encouragement. I’m here to help make this process as smooth and effective as possible for you!
